If noobs wanna disobey and act with impunity, they can face sanctions in the form of only playing with other noob players who don't believe in rules or order, and being booted when they don't listen.īear in mind that many schemes aren't going to have rules, but for the ones that DO have rules, they have to be followed. If the host wants to make any arbitrary 'house rules,' above and beyond the settings, the host can. It doesn't matter what scheme you're playing. I am old school in the respect that I think that whatever the host says goes. Eventually people will get sick of being kicked from matches and listen to hosts / get with the program. Implementing schemes with rules, communicating said rules, and kicking players for not follow said rules is crucial. I want the WMD community to be the most structured, tight, and communicative community since W:A. The host needs to be able to eject troublemakers from the match. However, it would be equally frustrating for a host and the other players if one or more players decides that they aren't going to follow rules, aren't going to listen, etc. Yes, I can see how it would be frustrating to get kicked for no good reason. Yes, I can see how a lot of trolls will abuse this ability. they will gang up on any other player who is obviously better than them rather than adhering to simple rules like KTL (Kill The Leader), ABL (All But Last place), etc.īecause of this, hosts NEED the ability to kick other players in-game. I guess that comes from being a part of a tightly-knit gaming community that's been around for like 16 years. I've noticed that most newer players lack the class that W:A players have. Players need to have a clear understanding of scheme types and the rules to be followed for particular schemes. Well, if WMD is to be a worthy successor to W:A, communication of course needs to be highly important, both in-game and global lobbies. Due to the nature of the newer games (lack of community and lack of communication), rules weren't really a thing. I'm not saying that every scheme NEEDS rules, but if a scheme DOES have rules, the rules should be followed. When Reloaded first came out, I tried enforcing rules in games, but nobody would listen. In the newer Worms games, nobody adheres to any 'rules' for any scheme. I was just speaking with some W:A friends on the TUS forums and I was reminded of one main gripe I have about newer Worms players in general.
